Wednesday 30th September: Black Boy Sessions
Happy to announce that the mid-week afternoon sessions at Ye Olde Black Boy will be supporting We Shall Overcome, with songs of protest, struggle and revolution thrown into the usual merriment.
Take the afternoon off work, and join us as we shake, rattle and roll the collection tin for a great cause. Rambunctious folk and drunken musical merriment. Location: Ye Olde Black Boy, High Street Time: 2pm onwards Acts: An eclectic bunch of roving folk singing reprobates, from around the city. |
Friday 9th October: Open Door Music Mashup
Supporting in solidarity an event at Fuel on Friday the 9th of October, in support of the Open Doors project, based out of the Princes Avenue Methodist Church. With a suggested donation of £4 on-the-door, all money raised will go the great work Open Doors does in supporting the homeless, refugees and asylum seekers in the city. (Doors open at 8pm.)
Saturday 10th October: Hull Harvest Feast-ival 2015
We Shall Overcome is happy to endorse the Hull Harvest Feast-ival on the 10th of October. It promises to be one of the biggest FREE food events in the city for many years! "Feeding the City", surplus produce from the city's many allotments is going to be collected and brought to the city centre for cooking. The 'feasting' will begin at 11am. Be there, it's going to be amazing!!!
