Be Part of We Shall Overcome 2016
Here we are again... And we're looking for venues, event promoters, musicians, bands, artists, poets and anyone willing to give their time to the biggest nationwide grassroots solidarity festival ever.
What Is We Shall Overcome?
Over the week 1st - 9th October we aim to organise a series of gigs and events around the country with the purpose of uniting in the face of a government whose agenda we oppose. The gigs are both a show of solidarity and a means to offer practical help to those affected by the policies of austerity.
Many gigs are supporting local foodbanks or other projects designed to get help directly to people in need. If you are a singer, a band, a venue, a promoter or indeed anyone willing to pitch in and get involved then please do.
Think of this as the biggest free festival ever, with stages all around the country!

What's Happening In Hull?
Events will be free to all that attend, venues are giving their space for free, and all artists play for free. All we ask is that if you attend an event you make a donation. As little or as much as you can afford. All funds collected will go to local projects dedicated to helping those hardest hit by austerity policies in the city. We will add a support page, as we confirm the projects who will benefit.
